On Pinterest, you can find several pins about growing lemon trees from the seeds of lemons you bought from the grocery store. Since I was on a ginger-lemon tea binge, I figured I’d give it a shot.
I put my seeds in some water because they’d dried out a bit waiting for me to plant them. It was about 2-3 days between the time I removed them from the lemons and I planted them.
I put some rocks in the bottom of my pot for drainage then fill it with a combo compost and dirt from the garden.
The tutorials I read suggested loading up the pot with as many seeds as you could fit so that’s what I did. I couldn’t fit all my seeds in one pot so I turned and an old mug into a pot.
I covered the containers with plastic wrap and gave them to my husband to put in the makeshift green has corner in the garage.
It’s supposed to take several weeks for the seeds to sprout. We’ll see what happens.
