I had all these grand plans for the summer. Exercise. Finish several craft projects on my to do list. Write a gabillion words. Catch up on things that I had to put aside during the school year.
Yeah. Those things didn’t happen.
I get an A for coming up with a nic e to do list.
But I get a D for what not accomplishing very much on my summer to do list. Honestly, I could have gotten more things done, but I lacked the motivation to do them. I chose not to do things.
Like take pictures for the 366 Picture Challenge I committed to do with Kristen Koster and Alexia Reed. I took pictures for a week after school let out, then ignored my commitment to the challenge. My apolgies to my Kristen and Alexia for not keeping up with the challenge.
Since I seem to remember to take pictures when my kids are in school, I decided to start a new picture a day challenge. It started the first day my kids went back to school (August 6) and will end the last day of school (May 31).
I also got away from making to do lists, which helped me see what I needed to do, formulate a plan of attack and keep from becoming overwhelmed by all the stuff that needed to be done. This plus my lack of motivation attributed to my D for completing my summer to do list.
I’m excited about getting back on track and getting things done.
