My new sunglasses got scratched up from me dropping them into my purse. So I decided to make a case for them. I planned to make a case out of fabric, then I came across a couple sheets of plastic canvas I’d bought for a few years ago for craft project for the kids. I guessimated the size of the case by folding it over my glasses. Next, I grabbed some yarn I bought when I was in crochet mode. I didn’t have any yarn needles so I had to buy some from local craft store. I also bought a threader, which made getting the yarn through the needle eye a snap.
It took me about a week to finish it. I worked a row a couple times a day while I watched a movie or a drama. And sometimes before I went to bed. It helped me unwind, relax.
I wanted to finish the case so worked on it while I marathoned several episode of the Korean drama, The Master’s Sun. My wrist was sore the next day.
I love how the case turned out. I was a little worried how the color combo would look. My color matching can be hit or miss sometimes. Now that it’s done, I have to remember to put my glasses in it. I’ll probably make another case. This time I’ll make bigger stitches and change up the color more.
