Our neighbors gave us two stalks(?) of bok choy last week. It kind of looks like the offspring of collard greens and celery. I’ve never cooked it before so I googled recipes.
I ended up using this one, Sauteed Bok Choy, from Chow.com as a guide. It was quick and easy to follow. And the bok choy turned out delicious. Sorry, no pics.
During another google session, I found a blog post about regrowing bok choy on 17 Apart. It made sense to me since has similar make up to celery. I turned the bottom lid from a plastic bakery container into a pot/tray, placed the bok choy bottoms inside and then filled the tray with a little bit of water. Don’t want any soggy bottoms. I put the tray in the window.
The next day, they looked like this:
Here’s Day 3 Progress:
I moved them outside to see how th excited to see how much they grow.
